Larry Corowa OBE “The Flash”
100 First Grade games, represented New South Wales on five occasions and Australia twice, 1978 Kangaroo tourist, and proudly named in Balmain’s Team of the Century.
Bernie Lowther
Played 98 First Grade games and represented New Zealand eight times. A brilliant centre for Canterbury-Bankstown and South Sydney, and current Chairman of F.I.G.S.
Les Mara
An 87-game First Grade veteran who represented New South Wales twice, enjoying a distinguished career with Balmain, South Sydney, Newtown and St Helens.
Neil Pringle
Played 171 First Grade games with Newtown and Balmain, represented New South Wales, and was regarded as one of the game’s finest lock forwards.
Ricky Walford
A 231-game First Grade career with Eastern Suburbs, North Sydney and St George, scoring an impressive 972 points while representing both NSW Country and New South Wales.
